Son of James Brockbank and Bessie DIXON, 67 Ferry Road, Glebe, New South Wales
Wounded at Mont St. Quentin, Somme August 31 1918 and invalided to 4th Southern General Hospital Devonport, and No. 1 Australian Auxilary Hospital Harefield. Returned to duty and contracted trench fever, gassed at Rivery, near Amiens and invalided to 49th Casualty Clearing Station France. Returned to Australia and then received treatment at 4th Australian General Hospital Randwick, Sydney.
