Biography contributed by Stephen Brooks

His younger brother, 3049 Pte. Alfred Benjamin Holloway, 42nd Battalion AIF, was later killed in action 25 August 1918, aged 23. They were the sons of Benjamin Henry and Priscilla Jane Holloway, of Inglewood, Queensland. Their father had passed away during 1909, when Edwin was about 23 years of age, and Alfred was only 14 years old.
