Son of George Thomas Gorrie and Sarah Gorrie nee Hunter. Brother to George Thomas Gorrie, John Gorrie who was living in Aucland, NZ in 1920, William Gorrie who was killed in action on 6 August 1916 while serving with the 24th Battalion and Edgar Gorrie
