Private Reuben (Rubin) Cameron Radford (3154, 40th Battalion) was a labourer from Thirlstane, Tasmania. He was killed in action near Heilly, France, on 28 March 1918 during the German Spring Offensive of March – May 1918. Rubin is buried in the Heilly Station Cemetery, Mericourt-L'Abbe, Peronne, France. Rubin’s father wrote that he was 17 years 11 months of age at the time of his death
