Son of Amy Ann Browne of 'Ellisee', Kirribilli Point, NSW.

Had made several attempts to enlist and had been rejected. Having been eventually accepted he commenced his journey to the front only to disappear 2-3 days out from Fremantle, WA. Fellow soldiers described him a cheerful and a moderate drinker but on the night of his disappearance he was sober and behaving normally
