Horace Edgar SALTMARSH was born on 2nd April, 1896 in Longford, Tasmania

Son of Lewis Henry SALTMARSH & Elsie Emma HUME of Powranna, Tasmania

His brother Linden Roderick SALTMARSH (SN 4034) also served in WW1 and was awarded the Military Medal - he returned to Australia in 1919
