He is  commemorated on the  Kilkenny Peace Park Kilkenny World War I Memorial and on the  Kilkenny, MacDonagh Station-Kilkenny World War I Memorial.

11th Battalion, 12th Reinforcement and latterly -3rd Light Trench Mortar Battery.

3rd, Australian Light Trench Mortar Battery-he was aged 33, from Paulstown. Paulstown (Irish: Baile Phóil) is a small village in County Kilkenny in Ireland. 

Enlistment date 12 August 1915

Unit embarked from Fremantle, Western Australia, on board RMS Mongolia on 22 November 1915 - age at embarkation 32.
