'Twas in the fight at Passchcndaele,
Amid the crash of shot and shell,
While trying to save his fellow men,
Our darling Clarence fell.
Inserted by his loving mother and father and sister, Nellie, of Pittwater Road, St. Ives.

Your loss we cannot realise,

When they all return, and you left there.
