BARTHO.— A tribute of loving memory of our dear son, Clarence, aged 24 years, of the 83rd Battalion, who was killed in action at Passchcndaele, October 12, 1917.
'Twas in the fight at Passchcndaele,
Amid the crash of shot and shell,
While trying to save his fellow men,
Our darling Clarence fell.
Inserted by his loving mother and father and sister, Nellie, of Pittwater Road, St. Ives.
BARTHO. — In loving memory of our dear brother, Clarence, aged 24 years, who was killed in action at Passchendaele, October 12, 1917.
In the din and roar of battle,
Our dear brother fell;
Safe into the arms of Jesus,
'Twas there our dear Clarence fell.
Inserted by his loving brothers, Albert, Jack, Wilfred, James, and George, of Pittwater Road, St. Ives.

BARTHO. — In loving memory of our dear brother, Private Clarence George Bartho, killed in action in France, October 12th, 1917, aged 24 years.
Your loss we cannot realise,
Nor really think you gone;
But we know the grief we'll have to bear,
When they all return, and you left there.
