Son of John Cupper and Florence Sarah Cupper nee Insull. Brother of John Percival Cupper who returned to Australa on 21 December 1915 as wounded having served with the 8th Battalion
Husband of Ivy Cecily Nash formerly Cupper nee Rea
Commenced return to Australia on 10 May 1919 aboard HT Wahehe disembarking on 28 June 1919
