Born at Brisbane and educated at Logan. Son of the late George Arthur and Mary Pierce, of Esk. Enlisted 3rd November, 1915, and embarked 1916 for England, thence to France, and through all stunts to Passchendaele, where he lost a leg. Returned to Australia September, 1918, discharged medically unfit.
