When Alfred Nation Aitken was born on 24 November 1879 in Melbourne, Victoria, his father, Thomas, was 59 and his mother, Thirza, was 39. He married Catherine Elizabeth UNDERWOOD on 4 June 1902. They had one child during their marriage. He died in 1962 in Elsternwick, Victoria, at the age of 83.
