Private Ambrose Francis Edwards (2835), a son of William and Amelia Edwards of Tyringham, near Dorrigo, is 24 years of age, and enlisted at Dorrigo in October, 916. He was in camp at Sydney and sailed for England on 25th November, 1916, and on his arrival there the following January, was sent to Salisbury Plains for training. He went over to France in May, 1917, and was killed at Passchendaele Ridgeon 4th October, 1917, after going through the battles of Messines and Bullecourt.
