His parents were William Henry Neville ABBOTT and Annie Elizabeth WAUGH who married in Sydney in 1890

James Ellaby Abbott was just a normal everyday person just trying to make a living. He was a Labourer getting work where ever he could that didn't require a trade or any form of degree. He lived in the heart of North Sydney. His original house was demolished and turned into a shoppong centre.
