Died on this date - 8th April........Private Tasman John Paul was born at Koonya, Tasman Peninsula, Tasmania in 1892. He enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force on 12th October, 1916 as a 24 year old Farmer from Hobart Tasmania.
Private Paul arrived in England for further training before being sent to the War Front on 3rd March, 1917 & was posted to 3rd Training Battalion at Durrington, Wiltshire. He was sent to Fargo Military Hospital, Wiltshire on 29th March, 1917 with Influenza.
Private Tasman John Paul died at 6.45 a.m. on 8th April, 1917 at Fargo Military Hospital, Wiltshire from Pneumonia. He was buried in Durrington Cemetery, Wiltshire where 140 other WW1 Australian Soldiers are buried.
