Evan BAIN was born in Inverness, Scotland on 17th November, 1893

His parents were Kenneth BAIN & Jessie GRANT

He married Alma Jessie Mary GOLDING in Perth, Western Australia on 14th May, 1924

He served during WW1 (SN 172) with the 10th Light Horse Regiment , AA Squadron- enlisted in Guildford, WA on 10th December, 1914 and embarked from Fremantle WA on the HMAT Mashobra on 8th February, 1915 - he was discharged on 15th February, 1918 as medically unfit

He enlisted to serve during WW2 (SN W74991) at Woodlands Station, WA on 30th April, 1943 and served with the 16th North West Batttalion of the Volunteer Defence Corps

Evan died in Perth, WA on 8th October, 1982 and is buried in Karrakatta Cemetery

His brother Duncan Farquhar Grant BAIN (SN 364) was Killed in Action on 7th August, 1915
