Ralph Lumsden Raisbeck
Ralph Raisbeck was a grocer who enlisted to serve on 10th January 1916, almost as soon as he turned 18. He served as a driver with the 8th Field Artillery Brigade in France and was twice wounded in action. He didn't return to Australia until the 17th August 1919.
Ralph was also an Australian footballer known as "Kanga", who played for the Essendon Football Club. He played in Rounds 10 and 12 in 1922 then was suspended for the final six matches of the season. His only other game was in Round 6, 1923, in a win over Richmond.
Ralph Raisbeck died on 5th April, 1958.
