LIEUT. J. H. MCINTYRE.
Mr. J. McIntyre of New Canterbury-road, Dulwich Hill, has received nows that his only son, Lieutenant John Harold McIntyre, was killed in action in France on November 5. The deceased officer was 23 years of age, and left Australia as a sergeant on October 18, 1914. Prior to enlisting he was a lieutenant in the Petersham area, and late scoutmaster of Petersham and Marrickville. He was wounded in the landing at Gallipoli, and again severely in the Lone Pine battle. He was a grandson of the late Captain McIntyre, of Summer Hill, and was educated at Petersham Public School.
