Son of George Oake and Mary Jane Diplock formerly Oake nee Vicary of Forecastle, Sherwood Road, Harrow, England.
On 17 September 1918 Charles married Kathleen Thorman in the Regisitry Office, London, England. Registrar E.J. Watson officiated.
