"...5632 Private Edward Franklin Pearce of Caltowie, South Australia. A farm labourer before enlisting in April 1916, Pte Pearce formed part of the 15th Reinforcements of the 27th Battalion. He spent just over a week as a Lance Corporal before being killed by shrapnel whilst on a fatigue party on Anzac Ridge near Broodseinde on 29 October 1917." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
