The details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders - a few daring men in 1918" written by Lucas Jordan, published in 2017, refer to pages 22. 45 to 47, 264 and 280. Prior to the war he was a telegraph linesman of Goulburn NSW. He enlisted 14th Sep 1915 aged 26years. During the actions mentioned in the page references he was serving with 54th Infantry Battalion. He survived the war and departed the UK for home 22 Aug 1919.
