The death occurred at his residence, Thomas-street, Parramatta, on Monday, of Mr. William Whitmore, garage proprietor at Parramatta North, and a former motor mechanic. Deceased who was 39 years of age was born in Riverstone, and was a son of Mrs. Elizabeth Whitmore (Parramatta) and the late William Whitmore, who died many years ago. Mr. Whitmore, a returned soldier, married Alice, a daughter of Mrs. Irwin (nee Saunders) and the late Robert Irwin, who died only a few months ago. He leaves a widow and four sons (Milton, Ronald, Donald and Paul). Brothers and sisters are Messrs. Roy and Noel Whitmore (Parramatta), Mesdames R. Langford (Parramatta), J. Franks, B. Howlett, and G. Thompson. Brothers in Iaw are the Mayor of Parramatta (Alderman W. J. Irwin), Messrs. Clive, Albert and Harold Irwin (Parramatta). Sisters in law are Mesdames F. Morris, (Metcalfe and Morris) and Mrs. Ford (Parramatta South). Ex-Alderman H. J. Saunders (Parramatta), is an uncle. The funeral, which was largely attended, moved from deceased's residence (yesterday) afternoon, (after service) for the Presbyterian Cemetery, Rookwood. Rev. G. F. B. Manning (rector of All Saints' Church, Parramatta) officiated, and members of the M.U.I.O.O.F., Parramatta, were present. Funeral arrangements were in the hands of Metcalfe and Morris Ltd., (A.F.D.A.), Parramatta.
