15 Jul 1916: Wounded AIF WW1, Private, 1736, 58th Infantry Battalion, Fromelles (Fleurbaix), SW to face and arm. Evacuated to UK. Rejoined unit 8 February 1917.
28 Feb 1917: Wounded AIF WW1, Private, 1736, 58th Infantry Battalion, Accidentally shot (not self inflicted) in the thigh (fractured). Evacuated to UK and then Australia.
3 Mar 1918: Discharged AIF WW1, Private, 1736, 58th Infantry Battalion, RTA 16 July 1917 and discharged as MU (wounds). While still in hospital in Melbourne, committed suicide on 3 March 1918, the day of his discharge.
