Son of James Bryant Villiers and Margaret Septima Villiers nee Smith of Ann Street, Charters Towers, QLD.
Brother of Alfred Villiers who return to Australia on 16 August 1919 having served with the 49th Battalion.
On 9 July 1919 Arthur married Nellie Hawley in the Registry Office, Freyd, Blackpool, England. George Thornley, Deputy Registrar officlated.
Commenced return to Australia on 22 December 1919 aboard HT Themistocles disembarking on 9 February 1920 at Sydney for onward travel to Brisbane
