William Leitch Harris

My name is Gill, nee Harris. William is my great uncle, brother of Alexander Lang Harris. Some years ago I started a family tree and have found out a few things about him. The biggest mystery to us, is where is Mildred his daughter, who is named on William's gravestone in Botany. We also cannot trace his wife, Lily, nee Agar, born in Durham England. We know he fought in WW1 in AIF, came back to England then returned to Australia in 1919 with Lily. We have traced him in two electoral rolls, in 1930 and 1946, but no trace of Lily or Mildred. if anyone reads this, i would love to know any information on the three of them. William died in Repatriation General Hospital Concord on 10th February 1955, my grandfather, Alexander died in 1946.

I knew nothing of Alexander as he left my dad's family when my dad was about 10, although i have since found out that dad did have contact with Alexander until he died. My parents didn't marry until 1950 and dad never talked about his family life. We have met one of Alexander's second family, a boy called Robert, the youngest, and only boy of nine children.
