"THE LATE PRIVATE H. J. P. EYLES
Mrs. Eyles, of Oakley-street, city, has been notified that her son, Private H. J. P. Eyles, who was 27 years of age, was killed on active service in France on November 25. He joined the colors on January 1, 1916, and sailed for England on March 9. He was employed in "The Advertiser" damping-room and was well liked by his fellow-workmates. Mrs. Eyles has a younger son on active service at the front." - from the Adelaide Chronicle 30 Dec 1916 (nla.gov.au)
