"...5141 Private Cecil Denis Mahoney, 3rd Battalion of Lewisham, NSW. A warehouseman prior to enlistment, Pte Mahoney embarked with the 16th Reinforcements from Sydney aboard SS Makarini on 1 April 1916. He was killed in action in France on 4 May 1917 aged 20." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
