John George “Jack” Hines
John George Hines
Born John George Hines however, commonly known as Jack. The eldest son of John and Eva Hines. Adored husband of Maud.
Jack and Maud had four sons and one daughter; John, William, Keith, Gordon and Eva May.
Jack served in WW1 with two of his brothers, William George and Phillip Hines. William paid the ultimate price and lost his life, serving his country in France on 29th April 1918. Both Jack and Phillip returned to their families in Orange at the end of the war as hero’s.
Jack was a man of honour, family values and loved his music; and was part of the Orange Band.
Jack is buried with his wife Maud and son Gordon in the Orange cemetery. He is remembered by his great grandson, Kelvin; his great, great grandchildren, Renee, Jody and Josh; and his great, great, great grandson’s, Mallee, Billy and Wilder.
Always loved and never forgotten.
