Raid on Celtic Wood

2410 Private Reginald Thomas Williams was one of the three 3rd Light Trench Mortar men who accompanied the 10th Battalion raiders during their raid on Celtic Wood. He was wounded during the raid on 9 October 1917, was treated at 64th Field Ambulance for wounds to his left leg then admitted to 11th Casualty Clearing Station the same day. He rejoined the battery in late December 1917 and the following year was gassed in March and wounded again in June. [i]

Returned to Australia in April 1919.
