Add my storyBiography contributed by Stephen Brooks
Albert George Stagoll enlisted in the 3rd Light Horse at 20 years of age, and served for four years in C Squadron. His two older brothers Walter and Tom were killed in action. Albert was quite ill with malaria when he was sent home in early 1919, and he died in 1940 after a six-month long illness. His death was said to be related to his war wounds.
He was a son of the Elizabeth Stagoll of Longford, Tasmania and resided in the Scottsdale district for over 30 years, for some time conducting the business of a carrier. He left a widow and three children.
