NOTE: Pte Brickhill is a recent addition to the roll of Great War dead; he was accepted, after research by the the In From the Cold Project (www.infromthecold.org) (www.infromthecold.org), for commemoration on 2nd March 2017.

 

"The death of Pte. Bernard T. Brickhill, who with his two brothers, was a member ot the 11th Battalion, and who was invalided home to Australia last October, took place on the 4th inst. Before enlisting Pte. Brickhill, who is the fourth son of Mr. J. C. Brickhill, J.P., was well known in musical circles, being the possessor of a fine, baritone voice.
