Son of Michael and Rose Ann Ledwidge of Carrathool, NSW

Brother of Michael John Ledidwidge who served with the Army Provost Corps and Frank Bartle Ledwidge who returned to Australia on 28 June 1919 having served with the  7th Light Horse

His younger brother NX36469 Private Frank Bartle Ledwidge, 2/19th Battalion, Australian Infantry died as POW of the Japanese during WW2. He was held in the Sandakan POW camp in north Borneo and died on 12 March 1945, age 43. Frank was 14 years of age when his older brother Arthur died at Gallipoli.
