Biography contributed

Edmund BENGREY-DENTON was born in Prahan, Victoria in 1891

His parents were George DENTON & Alice Mary BENGREY who married in the Wesleyan Church in Mount Erica, Victoria on 25th July, 1877

He enlisted on 20th June, 1916 and embarked from Melbourne on the HMAT Hororata on 23rd November, 1916 with the 14th Field Artillery Brigade, 8th reinforcements

Edmund was Killed in Action in France on 20th September, 1918 and is buried in the Hancourt British Cemetery

2. Harry Bengrey DENTON (SN 2600) - discharged in 1917 - he also served during WW2 (SN N61028) & was discharged in 1946
