When Herbert Elliott Bayliss was born in 1891 in Deniliquin, New South Wales, his father, George, was 40 and his mother, Mary, was 33. He married Hilda Jane Prowse in 1923 in Adelong, New South Wales. He died on 26 July 1960 in New South Wales at the age of 69, and was buried in Adelong, New South Wales.

Herbert Elliott Bayliss was born in 1891 in Deniliquin, New South Wales, to Mary Jane Elliott, age 33, and George Heggins Bayliss, age 40.
