"Mr. and Mrs. John Sinnamon, of Jackson, have received the sad news that their son, Archie Sinnamon, of a machine gun company, was killed in action on September 29. Deceased, who had been in the firing line since March, was 23 years of age. His elder brother, Walter, was wounded in the Messines battle (gunshot wounds in the chest), and has now returned to the Front." - from the Darling Downs Gazette 25 Oct 1917 (nla.gov.au)
