Kenneth Arthur McLEAN was born on 11th October, 1892 in Dandenong, Victoria
His parents were Alexander Thomas McLEAN and Mary Louisa GILL
He served in WW1 and returned to Australia on the ship Marathon on 17th November, 1919. (see his History record)
He married Ann Hay (Nan) CARSTAIRS on 3rd April, 1920 at the Presbyterian Church in Armadale, Victoria - 3 children Betty, Ann & Kenneth Hay
His wife Ann was born in 1902 in Perth, Scotland and was a nurse in the Australian Medical Corp according to his Biography - she died on 15th July, 1969 in Toorak and was cremated at Springvale Cemetery
Kenneth died on 8th August, 1960 and was cremated at Springvale Cemetery in Victoria
He was awarded the British War Medal & the Victory Medal in WW1 & was awarded the Military Cross in 1918 and Bar in 1919 - any medals in WW2 are unknown.
His brother Carden Patrick Gose McLEAN (SN2956) also served in WW1 with the 5th Infantry Battalion and was Killed in Action on 6th November, 1916 in France.

Captain Kenneth Arthur McLEAN - Army Medical Corps
For conspicuous gallantry & devotion to duty during a heavy enemy attack. Under heavy fire he personally conducted bearer squads, organized the forward work of evacuation and exerted himself to the utmost in saving wounded. His fine example served to keep the men under him working at high pressure and insured the complete evacuation of the positions

Captain Kenneth Arthur McLEAN, M.C. Aust, A.M.C - 7th Brigade, F.A
On 31st August, 1918 near Clery, the battery was heavily shelled, two men being killed and two badly injured. He immediately went to the battery and commenced dressing one man who could not be moved. He continued his work until one shell burst close to him , wounding him severely in the arm and mortally wounding the stretcher bearer who was assisting him. He showed marked courage and devotion to duty (Military Cross gazetted 26th July, 1918)
