91 years ago today, on the Wednesday afternoon of the 19th July 1933, Private Quinton Watt, also known as Bonner or Bona, 33rd Battalion (Reg No-2185), printer from 119 Gosford Road, Adamstown, New South Wales and 23 Morgan Street, Adamstown, N.S.W., was laid to rest at Sandgate Cemetery, age 45. PRESBYTERIAN-20NW. 45.

Born at Adamstown, New South Wales on the 31st October 1888 to John, died 22.9.1899, age 55, from 119 Gosford Road, Adamstown, New South Wales, buried at PRESBYTERIAN-12NE. 12, and Margaret Watt nee McCarthy, died 14.2.1924, age 70, mother of 7, from 119 Gosford Road, Adamstown, New South Wales, sleeping at PRESBYTERIAN-12NE. 12; husband of Jane Ann Watt nee Hillier, married 1920, Newcastle, N.S.W., died 28.11.1945, Mayfield, N.S.W., age 62, from 49 Macquarie Street, Merewether, N.S.W., sleeping here, Quinton enlisted on the 15th May 1916 at Wallsend, N.S.W.

Unit embarked from Sydney, New South Wales on board HMAT A68 Anchises on the 24th August 1916.

Granted leave to England from 2.3.1918 to 16.3.1918.

Wounded in action - 5.4.1918 (GSW left arm & shoulder, severe).

Invalided to England 7.4.1918.

Furlough in England from 6.7.1918 to 20.7.1918.

Commenced return to Australia 15.9.1918.

Quinton arrived home invalided on the 17th November 1918, being discharged medically unfit (GSW left arm, fractured neck, humerus compound) on the 28th December 1918.

Mr. Watt’s name has been inscribed on the Adamstown Citizens' Memorial, Adamstown Municipal District Roll of Honor and The Capt. Clarence Smith Jeffries (V.C.) and Pte. William Matthew Currey (V.C.) Memorial Wall.

I have placed poppies at Quinton’s gravesite in remembrance of his service and sacrifice for God, King & Country.

Not officially commemorated.
