    Son of Edward Bernaud Cressett Corser and Mary Jane Corser nee Brown of Maryborough, QLD. Brother of Sidney Cressett Corser, Edward Stewart Corser, Henry Bernard Corser, Mary Charlotte Corser and Isabel Muriel Corser, 

    On 17 January 1922 Herbert married Elwyn Kathleen Lawless in Queensland

    Commenced return to Australia 1 May 1919 aboard HT China disembarking on the 8 June 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to QLD
