Biography

"MISSING SOLDIERS.

Mr. N. Plim, of 232 Laugston-street, yesterday received a cable message from the Defence department, stating that his son, Private J. Plim, had been missing since 18th August, and that any further particulars received would be immediately communicated. Private Joseph Plim sailed in January last and was in Egypt for about a month. He was then sent to France and his father recently received a letter from him dated 11th August, saying that he was just leaving the trenches and that he had received the parcels and letters sent to him. His brother, Private John Plim, departed yesterday with reinforcements." - from the Bendigonian 28 Sep 1916 (nla.gov.au)
