Biography

James Bruce Mullins was a 21 year old station hand when he enlisted in the Army in 1915.  He served in the 12th Reinforcements, 3rd Light Horse Regiment as a Private and Driver.  He embarked ex Adelaide on the HMAT Geelong arriving in Heliopolis.  He suffered a gunshot wound in action with the Egypt Expeditionary Forces in March 1918.  He returned to Australia on 15 May 1919 on the HT Orari ex Kantara. 

Like many returned men, he died young, as a direct result of injuries sustained during the war.

He was awarded the 1914/15 Star, the British War Medal and the Victory medal.
