Sergeant G. S. Telfer is a son of Mrs and the late Mr. George Telfer, of Lindenow. He is a member of the 4th A.L.H. Regiment. He joined the 1st A.I.F. as a corporal. While in Egypt he went through a course of training with the engineers, and was made a Pioneer Corporal. On going to the front he was promoted to the rank ol sergeant. He received a shrapnel wound in the thigh at the Dardanelles on the 30th alt.
