The district Holywell is in the county of Flintshire.
His brother, Private Hugh Henry Jones, Service Number 2433, died in Liverpool, England of stomach cancer whilst in the service of the 55th Battalion, Australian Infantry, Australian Imperial Force. He is interred in his home town of Llanberis in the churchyard of St Peris.
They were sons of of John Jones of Bron Eryri, Nant Peris and the late Mary Jones.
