Son of John Henry Adams of Sylvan Avenue, Mount Eden, Auckland, NZ

Served in the NZ Military Forces for about 8 years prior to coming to Australia

Commenced return to Australia on 31 August 1915 aboard HT Wiltshire dismbarked at Melbourne of 29 September 1915 fpr pward travel to Langwarrin, Victoria from where he deserted and it appears he returned to NZ as it was debated in his attestation paper whether or not it was worthwhile to have him returned from NZ. Officers of the 3rd MIlitary District that as he had enlisted at Brisbane is up to the 1st Military District as to what action was to be taken

Medals: Not issued due to his being struck of strength as a deserter in 1916
