4661 12/30th Battalion.
Born 1898 in Newtown, N.S.W to Herbert Edward & Ethel May Harris.
Enlisted 14.1.1916 apparently aged 20 years & 11 months at West Maitland, N.S.W. but he was under 18 years. He re-enlisted on 23.11.1916 at the age of 18 years & 4 months at the Liverpool Camp.
On 25.11.1916 embarked from Sydney aboard the Beltana.
27.12.1917 sent to France to join up with the 30th Battalion.
1.11.1918 to signals school.
21.2.1919 discharged.
12.11.1925 Married Vera Louisa Postance.
At the time of his death he was working as a cook on South Molle Island.
Died 24.1.1970 and buried in Proserpine Old Cemetery, section NP4 Grave 148.
