Horace FOLBIGG was born in Warwick, Queensland on 15th January, 1888
His parents were Walter Albert FOLBIGG & Emily DANIELS
He enlisted in Inverell, NSW on 27th January, 1916 and embarked from Sydney on the HMAT Beltana on 13th May, 1916 with the 36th Infantry Battalion
Horace returned to Australia on 5th November, 1917 and was discharged on 2nd July, 1918 as medically unfit due to illness caused by severe gassing in the battle at Messines - on return he was treated at the Randwick Military Hospital & then sent to Glen Inness for further treatment
He died a the Glen Innes Hospital on 8th March, 1919 and is buried in the Glen Innes General Cemetery, NSW - he was given a full military funeral
His brother Gordon Miller FOLBIGG (SN3059) also served in WW1 & returned to Australia in 1919
