"2328 Acting Sergeant Edward Percival Archer, 5th Reinforcements, 22nd Battalion, of North Carlton, Vic. A/Sgt Archer enlisted on 13 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Osterley on 29 September 1915. He was commissioned as a lieutenant on 1 March 1918 with the 6th Battalion.
