Great Sydney Central Station Honour Board

Frederick Robert DERLEY was born in Sydney in 1887. He was working as a fettler on the NSWGR between Concord West and Hornsby in 1914, but no employee card has been found for him. In July 1915 he enlisted in the AIF at Liverpool.
Embarked from Sydney in October 1915, he was sent via Egypt to France, where he landed in March 1916.

Frederick Robert DERLEY was born in Sydney in 1887.  He was working as a fettler on the NSW Government Railways between Concord West and Hornsby in 1914.  In July 1915 he enlisted in the AIF at Liverpool.

He embarked from Sydney in October 1915. He was sent via Egypt to France, where he landed in March 1916.  He was promoted to Lance Corporal on 2nd April 1917. He was killed in action on 15th April.  He was buried in Noreuil Australian Cemetery, 5¼ miles NNE of Bapaume. 

His mother was granted a war pension.
