FATAL COLLAPSE
Railway Employe Dies On Way Home
Death came with tragic suddenness on Saturday night to Mr. Albert John Wells, aged about 42.
Mr. Wells, who was an acting engine driver in South Australian Railways, had worked on a shunting engine that day, and in the evening, apparently in good health, had been for a stroll to the beach with two friends—Messrs. H. T. Lilley and C. Erickson.
The three men were on the way home about 10 p.m. and were between the police station and Mary-Elie street when Mr. Wells suddenly exclaimed "Hold me" and collapsed.
He died almost immediately. When a doctor arrived he said that heart failure was the cause of death.
