"DEATH IN EXPRESS
A former Adelaide man, returning to his home in Queensland, dropped dead in the Sydney express on Wednesday. He was Mr. Joseph Sylvester O'Halloran, about 68, retired, who had been visiting his sisters, Miss A. O'Halloran, of Thorngate, and Mrs. K. Sawtell, of Nailsworth. Mr. O'Halloran, who enlisted in the first AIF in Adelaide, was a grandson of Capt. W. L. O'Halloran, who settled at St. Marys in 1840, and was private secretary to Governor Grey and later Auditor-General." - from the Adelaide News 11 Dec 1953 (nla.gov.au)
