Son of William LIBBIS and Elizabeth nee GERMAINE
Pte Libbis enlisted on 17 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Nestor on 11 October 1915. He returned to Australia on 10 June 1916 as a member of the 46th Battalion.
LIBBIS.—On the 13th March, at the Melbourne Hospital, late of Nott-street, Port Melbourne, William John, the dearly loved son of the late William and Elizbeth Libbis, loving brother of Elizabeth (Mrs. Hine), Emily (Mrs. Lock), Thomas, Florrie (Mrs. (Shilling), Rose (Mrs. Duncan), Edwin and Annie (Mrs. Ashman), aged 56 years.
