Son of John and Agnes Moffatt BAWDEN
GREAT SACRIFICE MADE
While fighting the Turks on the Sinai Peninsula Sergeant E. M. Bawden, of the Australian Light Horse, was killed. Sergeant Bawden, who was the second son of Mrs J. Bawden, of Pascoe Vale, enlisted in the early
days of the war, and quickly gained promotion. After serving in Egypt ho took part In the Gallipoli campaign. On returning to Egypt he went into action with his regiment on the Sinai Peninsula, where he met his death.
